Discoveries While Writing Essays

You and I have been writing essays for years, right? It started as early as our early childhood education, to primary and secondary education. We’ve reached the higher education level, and yet, we remain writing them. Why oh why?

Perhaps, because it’s invaluable for the student’s learning and obtaining of employable skills. And because, in the duration of composition, writing essays secrets are revealed.

How many times have you got yourself into performing research, analysis, writing – and see yourself doing something unexpected? Well I’ve seen these things happening to me, these discoveries. And I can’t help but share some of these experiences (proudly, I may say).

(1) The Wisdom for Providing Aid

My writing woes were not entirely mine to suffer; I also had my fellow classmates who experience the same difficulties. Apparently, my self-imposed techniques and the success it reaps for me (marks and commendations) seemed to win my classmates’ confidence. Eventually, they turn to me for a specific advice in writing essays. I, on the other hand, am more than willing to provide.

(2) The Sharp Eye for Detail

When I started my first uni essays, my errors were astoundingly aplenty. I can’t help but feel sorry for my writing skills. In the end, I made a vow of making some improvement. After one semester of constant proofreading and editing, I eventually saw a wonderful transformation – my eyes were so sharp in examining my work, and even my peer’s work.

(3) The Talent for Weaving

In my collection of writing essays secrets, I had one favourite: the ability to “weave” seemingly unrelated details and concepts. This aptitude is highly valued when doing research. However, it proves to be also an asset in writing because establishing connections or ‘relationship’ hits two birds with one stone: the required word count, and exhibition of my analytical capabilities.

Despite writing coursework essays for a very long time, I had never understood the intricate link I had with the written work. I thought I was simply engaged with the topic, or that completing it accounts for that coveted sense of fulfilment. However, the challenges encountered in writing, and the tenacity I exhibited in conquering such, helped me summed up my greatest writing essays secrets.

Apparently, these discoveries fuel my desire for unveiling more!
